Wedding stationery questions
When should wedding invitations go out?
Six to eight weeks before the wedding for a local wedding, three months for a destination wedding. Save-the-dates go out six to eight months ahead. See the timeline guide.
How many invitations should I order?
One per household, not per guest, plus 10–15% extra for late additions, keepsakes and mistakes. A 120-guest wedding usually needs 60–70 invitations.
What goes on the RSVP card?
A reply-by date (3–4 weeks before the wedding), name lines, accept/decline, and meal choice if you serve a plated dinner. Pre-address and stamp the return envelope.
Can I match the invitation to the menu and place cards?
Yes. Every wedding collection on PrintOnNow groups the pieces of one design, so the menu, program and thank-you card use the same artwork and colours.
Is this planner free?
Yes. It runs in your browser, saves your date locally and never asks for an account. The designs it suggests are made to order by partner print shops; we may earn a commission if you order, at no extra cost to you.
